Morning Everyone!

On the fourth day of Cruise’mas my true love gave to me – a beautiful dish prepared by an amazing floating chef.

Guess the name of the dish that uses these ingredients and you could be eating it with 3 friends on board a P&O 3 night cruise.

    Chicken Laksa

  • http://ninemsn Colleen Jarvis

    chicken laksa

  • Claudia

how did you get that? i have no idea where to even look

  • Gary

For a Chicken Laksa you need coconut milk – the main ingredient of the soup … it’s missing. This could be almost any asian chicken based dish, even a boring Chicken Stir Fry :)

  • Sandra

I think it might be Ginger Chicken

  • Claudia

it must be chicken stir fry, the clue said mix all the ingredients together and you get a classic asian dish so it must be right?

  • http://www.myvirtualassistant.co.nz Marion Jackson

What’s the yellow blob? Is it pasta/noodles?

  • http://pacificjewel.pocruises.com.au david heap

i say its chicken oriental stir fry. well i think it is

  • http://facebook leigh

    chilli-lime chicken stir fry

  • Claudia

why can it be just plain chicken stir fry?

  • http://deleted Claudia
  • Trish Bowen

Is it Thai chicken stir fry? I think laksa has rice noodles not egg noodles..that’s what the yellow blob is!!

  • Vicki

Not Laksa, no cocnut mild or Laksa paste.
Not a tir Fry, no vegetables. Going to research Womans Weekly

  • http://deleted Claudia

but if is chicken chow mein where is the noddles i don’t eat much chinese but i think chicken chow mein hasn’t got the noodles, so i go back to the chicken stir fry. (i think)

  • Letitia Kelly

I think it might be chicken stir-fry chow mein it is one of the dishes listed on a sample menu on P&O Website What does everyone think???

  • Eva

    looking through their diner menu

    1. chicken stir-fry chow mein
vegetable wok, long grain rice (???)
    2. honey and lime roasted baby chicken
garlic fried noodles, ginger and soy glaze
    3. chicken noodle soup
    root vegetables (???)
    4.indonesian chicken satay
    peanut sauce

    which one?

  • Letitia Kelly

I then typed in chicken stir-fry chow mein in google and some do use Chicken egg noodles???

  • Letitia Kelly

Just a thought It would have to be a dish that they are serving on the Pacific Jewel as this is the competition (Win a cruise on Pacific Jewel) and the new signature restaurant is by Luke Mangan called Salt Grill but I still can’t find anything so I am still going with chicken stir-fry chow mein

  • Letitia Kelly

Yep definetly Chicken stir-fry chow mein look on this website and well lah same ingredients thanks jamie Oliver http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/chicken-chow-mein

  • Bronwyn

thanks Eva……its going to be the honey and lime roasted baby chicken
garlic fried noodles, ginger and soy glaze
.all those ingredients are pictured. Soy chicken noodles lime ginger garlic….all that is missing is the honey???

  • elena

    chinese ginger chicken stirfry

  • Letitia Kelly

Just to now cxonfuse you even more somebody else has said Ginger Chicken Stir Fry look at this website it has same ingredients

    http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/7496/ginger+chicken+stir+fryGinger Chicken Stir-fry Recipe – Taste.com.au
    http://www.taste.com.au

But uses Fish Sauce and I think it is fish sauce not soy sauce my only concern is it on P & O’s website in their menu’s?? So I am still going with Chicken stir fry chow Mein You decide???

  • Lynette

honey and lime roasted baby chicken with garlic fried noodles, and a ginger and soy glaze.

  • http://Facebook Gail

The sauce they are showing I think is a fish sauce the bootle is in the shape of a fish so dont think is a soy sauce

  • Lorraine Ible

Look at the Al a carte menu on the PO Website

  • Trish Bowen

I think it’s fish sauce not soy sauce as there is a fish shaped bottle.

  • Lorraine Ible

where did you find the dinner menu, all I could find was a sample menu that show Chicken Stir Fry Chow Mein??

  • Bronwyn

trish ….soy sauce when you get takeaway chinese always comes in fish shaped container. The trouble with the chicken stir fry answer is that is says it is served with rice…..and no rice in picture

  • Kate

Soy sauce comes in a fish shaped bottle at sushi shops!

  • damo

laksa has shrimp paste in it

  • damo

str fry chow mein on there has rice

  • http://www.myvirtualassistant.co.nz Marion Jackson

Stir fry usually has lots of veges – the only veges shown are bok choy and spring onions. It’s def soy sauce in the little bottle. Still confused…

  • Gary

This one has really got everyone thinking … I think that’s the whole point to today’s question.
I really don’t think it’s Honey and lime roasted baby chicken
garlic fried noodles, ginger and soy glaze as this dish would be plated up with half or quartered pieces of baby (poussin size) chicken – not the fillets! In the picture chicken fillets are shown, not a baby chicken or chicken pieces! ;)

  • Bronwyn
  • http://www.myvirtualassistant.co.nz Marion Jackson

If you unscramble the clue… then Letitia is right! Good on ya, Letitia!

  • damo

    hokkien noodles

  • JOANNE hall

Honey and lime roasted baby chicken with garlic fried noodles and ginger and soy glaze

    Has to be thisI’m sure

  • Lorraine Allgood

HONEY & LIME BABY ROASTED CHICKEN IS THE GO!!!

  • Longee

    chicken chow mein

  • Trish Bowen

Well if its soy sauce then I agree but what about the honey?

  • Bronwyn

pic is showing chicken breasts not baby chickens which would be in a half or whole form. The clue also says “asian classic”…..so has to be the chicken stir fry chow mein

  • Trish Bowen

If you look at the dinner menu, it can really only be either the chicken chow mein, except it says with rice and not egg noodles, or the honey and lime roast chicken but it doesn’t mention honey in the ingredients…It wouldn’t be the clear chicken soup would it…but that says with wantons??..I don’t know which one!!

  • http://deleted Claudia

I’m over this question, anyone got the answer yet i’m all confused

  • jill victorsen

    bootscootin boogie

  • jill victorsen

    thai chicken and noodles

  • Letitia Kelly

chicken stir-fry chow mein is definetly the answer people

I know it says rice on the menu but this is P & O’s interpretation remember the clue:

A beautiful dish prepared by an amazing floating chef. Guess the name of the dish that uses these ingredients and you could be eating it.

The extra clue from P & O says “Put these ingredients into the mix and you have an Asian classic”.

If you type Asian Classic meals into google chicken chow mein comes up all the time

  • http://deleted Claudia

    yes, sounds good to me

  • Vicki

for those that eat sushi soy sauce comes in little plastic fishes as per the picture, so it has to be soy sauce, yeah?!

  • Vicki

Well you can submit as many answers as you like, enter them all.

Day 4 – Chicken Stir Fry Chow Mein !

  • squireoz

Does anyone else think it might be the “traditional Vietnamese chicken pho” referred to in the “New Menus Mean More Choice for Passengers” P&O page at the following link:

    http://www.pocruises.com.au/AboutUs/News/Pages/NewMenusMeanMoreChoiceforPassengers.aspx

  • Trish Bowen

When you look up the Pacific Jewel info it mentions “Vietnamese chicken pho” as a favourite to be featured in the menu. This seems to have many variations in the recipe when I googled it but does contain these ingredients
